Printmaking Summer School

Artists International Print Project / Atelier Avit France Summer School 23rd - 27th July 2012

The Paupers Press will be holding its 2nd summer school at the Atelier Avit studio in the small medieval village of St. Avit Senieur, in the picturesque Dordogne region of France.

The week long course will use techniques such as carborundum, chine colle, collage, monoprint & multiple plate printing to explore how the various languages of print can generate new ideas. The course will be structured so as to introduce the techniques through experimentation & improvisation around ideas developed whilst on the course. The studio is based in the heart of the village, with the C12th abbey and its cloisters directly opposite. There is plenty of accommodation within the village and in the surrounding area, to suit all budgets, family requirements and facilities.

The basic cost of the course will be £300 inc vat including all course materials, excluding flights and accommodation. The nearest airport is Bergerac, with daily flights by Ryanair & Flybe. Lists of suitable accommodation can be supplied if required.
