I see all my work as an exploration, being intrigued by animal symbolism in medieval carvings, architecture and landscape.
After beginning work on an image the outcome is always yet to be discovered. The different stages of the work suggest new directions and developments and unplanned marks influence and inspire the resolution of the image.
