Since taking over the management of Badger Press, we have been looking at the best way to secure its future and support the work of the busy team and volunteers who help to run the studio.
We recently established ourselves as a Community Interest Company (CIC), which is a form of social enterprise. Badger Arts CIC (I’m afraid there’s already a Badger Press registered at Companies House), has pledged to return any surplus to fund its own development and to carry out work for the benefit of the community, through education, training, support of artists and an involvement in local and regional arts events.
We believe that becoming a CIC will help us to secure new sources of funding, we want the studio to flourish and maintain the high level of service and support that has been enjoyed by printmakers, artists and the community since 1982.
With your continued support of Badger Press, we will achieve our ambitions, so get involved, enjoy the facilities and encourage others to join our community of artists. Feel free to email any questions you might have to stephan@badgerpress.org
